About David
David Hill, "The Chicago Dog Runner",
hatched the idea for a business after two years
of running his high energy dog Flynn. Found
at the PAWS no-kill animal shelter here in
Chicago, Flynn had twice been rejected by
potential adopters due to his fear aggression
and extreme excitability. This border collie
mix had been abandoned at a young age and
most probably abused.
David brought Flynn along on his marathon
training runs and started to notice his neurotic
tendencies changing for the better. Over time,
seeing how much calmer and relaxed the dog
was from running, David knew other canines
could benefit.
Growing up around his father's veterinary
practice, David developed a strong bond with
dogs at an early age. He is originally from San
Antonio, a graduate of Texas A&M
University, and has run 8 marathons.
